In “Kill Zone 2”, director Pou-Soi Cheang unveils the underground practice of selling human organs in the black market. Three of the biggest names in martial arts movies, Tony Jaa, Max Zhang, and Wu Jing bring their skills and star-power to electrify the screen.
In this story, Chan Chi-Kit (Jing Wu) is a Chinese undercover officer investigating a black market human organ ring ran by a Chinese criminal organization. Officer Chan goes so deep undercover that it makes him a drug-addict. When his cover is broken, Chan is set up and sent to a Thailand prison (with new identity) where he is to spend the rest of his life. There he meets correctional officer Chatchai (Tony Jaa) and the crooked warden Ko Hung (Max Zhang).
This film has a buffet size helping of fighting action. Watching Jaa and Wu Jing team up against Zhang was spectacular! Jaa versus Jing is a treat of Muay Thai against Kung-Fu. Each takes turns kicking each other through windows, leaving the audience to ask, who did it better? A jail riot fight scene felt like a martial arts opera.
Ignatiy Vishnevetski of avclub.com says: (“Kill Zone 2”) “produces some of the best action scenes in recent memory”.
So much greatness throughout this movie that its sure to be a fan favorite. Whether you are a fan of Zhang, Jing, Jaa, or all, you will be pleased. “Kill Zone 2” is a must watch!
